Blackstarre - Kasey Francisco

   As a mother of two, I began my life in computers when I was in high school. I joined the computer club. Back then, computers were still mainframes and PC's like the Commodore 64 and TI-99/4a. Basic was all the rage. To me computers were a way for me to have fun learning new technology. Also at the time I found my other love; writing. After high school, I went to pursue my other interests.

   Years went by and the computer industry grew; the 286 AT came out. I came back to computers then. I found that I could write short stories in WordStar and play games on a computer and didn't have to write the program to do it. I also found that it was a way for me to communicate with the outside world and meet people. That in itself fascinated me. I became a member of the Bulletin Board community. Within that world, I grew as a computer person. I even put up my own BBS, called Blackfell's Revenge. I grew as a writer during this time.

   The 80's came and went with it I received my degree in Electronics and Video Production. I could not seem to find a way to put my degrees to work together. Then, I became interested in computer aided design and saw the fusion that I was looking for. This time I put all on the back burner for a family. After my son was born, I decided to go back to work and found a job in technical support. That is where I became interested with the internet. Friends told me that I could have my own little niche in the world of the internet by creating my own homepage. The first were not something that I could be proud of but then I finally learned HTML and wrote the page that I have now.

  I have upgraded my knowledge by taking courses in ASP and PHP and are continuing the theses studies to provide better abilities for the Vision Palace team.

   As a Member of the Vision Palace Designs team, I believe that quality work is a must but it also must be pleasant to the eyes as well as the creativity of the words that are on the page. I bring to the company a quest for building web pages that are top notch in design as well as in creativity.
